About Us

Uniqom was founded in 1995 and, today, is one of the leaders in the Russian automotive market. The company’s branch network provides quality products and convenient services to customers throughout the territory of the Russian Federation. Uniqom is developing its brand portfolio in the following main categories: automotive parts, automotive chemicals and accessories. The company’s business model is based on direct cooperation with large, internationally recognized manufacturers.

A distinctive feature of our company is its portfolio of exclusive brands. A number of manufacturers have entrusted us with the exclusive promotion and distribution of their brands in the territory of the Russian Federation and CIS countries. As a result of many years of cooperation, these brands have taken leading positions in the Russian market, and for most of these partners, Uniqom is now the largest foreign aftermarket client.

Since 2017, Uniqom has been a member of Nexus Automotive International, a global alliance of the aftermarket leaders.

History

Uniqom is a company with a unique history, valuable experience and a reliable team that constantly works on developing partnerships with the company's customers and suppliers.

1995

Foundation of the company. Uniqom launched supplies of Korean car accessories. The main driver of the company’s growth was the consistent expansion of assortments and introduction of new products that were not represented on the market.

1996

We started developing the distribution of car care products and chemicals of various brands manufactured in South Korea and the USA. From the beginning, Uniqom focused on long-term partnerships with manufacturers. This allowed us to effectively promote and expand the distribution of the suppliers' brands in the Russian market.

1997-1998

Launching of Japanese car care products, chemicals and accessories. Uniqom was one of the first distributors in Russia to conclude contracts with Japanese manufacturers of automotive products. The company took the first steps in building a regional network: a branch was opened in Khabarovsk. As the number of customers started increasing, we decided to prioritize trading directly with them by opening a direct sales department.

1999

The company implemented an anti-crisis strategy to resist the collapse in the financial market. Uniqom optimized purchases and adopted the principle of direct supply from the manufacturers. The company was able to stabilize operations, did not lose any employees and maintained relations with all customers and suppliers.

2000-2001

The company started distribution of automotive parts and concluded the first contracts with parts manufacturers from Japan. In subsequent years, the brand portfolio was expanding rapidly. Spare parts of the highest quality were being supplied by the largest and most trusted manufacturers. Following our strategy, we continued developing partnerships with a number of suppliers, based on exclusive distribution agreements.

2002 - 2007

Development of the regional distribution network and dynamic growth. Expansion of the brand portfolio entailed the growth of the company and its entry into new regional markets. The further development of Uniqom was based on the principle of «being closer to the client». Branches were opened in Novosibirsk, Moscow, Irkutsk, Yekaterinburg and Krasnoyarsk. The company actively promoted suppliers' brands, conducted technical seminars, participated in regional exhibitions, and since 2005, annually in the Moscow International Motor Show. Uniqom grew from 25 to 200 employees.

2008

The construction of a Distribution Center in Vladivostok, with an area of 3,800 sq.m., was completed. The company allocated significant resources to logistics, with a view to increasing the efficiency of the Manufacturer-to-Customer supply chain.

2010 - 2014

Uniqom was actively expanding its regional network. The company enhanced the distribution structure by creating Divisional Offices and Distribution Centers in Moscow and Novosibirsk. Branches and representative offices were opened in Krasnodar, St. Petersburg, Chelyabinsk, Barnaul, Omsk, Kemerovo, Tomsk, Novokuznetsk, Abakan and Blagoveshchensk. The brand portfolio continued to develop; the company launched an assortment of European cars. Sales to the CIS countries started. The number of employees had grown to 400.

2015 - 2016

Uniqom celebrated its 20th anniversary. The strategic priority of our subsequent development is to further increase the quality of customer services. To better serve the clients, sales teams were reorganized by customer segments. The company continued its sustainable growth, increasing the operational efficiency every year.

2017

On January 1, 2017, the company joined Nexus Automotive International SA, the global alliance of automotive aftermarket leaders. Uniqom is a founding partner of Nexus Automotive Russia.

2018

The Federal Distribution Center in Vladivostok was officially launched. The facility is a class A warehouse, with an area of more than 20,000 sq.m. Efficient automation technologies, including the conveyor system and modern Warehouse Management System (WMS), was implemented in the distribution center. The new warehouse allowed the company to increase the speed of cargo handling and improve logistics services for our customers. The project was granted the status of a resident of the Free Port of Vladivostok. HQ was moved to the new facility.

2019 - 2020

Automation of the key business processes in sales and logistics has been completed. Mobile-CRM, WMS and TMS systems were implemented in all the company’s locations. The company’s online selling platform has been rebuilt to increase the speed and convenience of placing orders. The company celebrated its 25th anniversary. The company’s focus remains on its customer-centric approach and on the continued expansion of its logistics network: opening warehouses in Nakhodka, Barnaul, Blagoveshchensk, Abakan, Omsk, Chita and Ussuriysk.

Since January 1, 2017 the company joined Nexus Automotive International SA, the global alliance of automotive aftermarket leaders. Uniqom is a founding partner of Nexus Automotive Russia.

2018

Geography of Our Operations

Uniqom’s distribution network covers all the regions in Russia. The company provides services directly to five main customer segments: Automotive Retail Stores, Service Stations, Internet Shops, Supermarket Chains, Corporate Customers. In the CIS countries and specific areas of the Russian Federation, the company distributes brands through regional dealers.
